The Equal – Ark January Intensive
January 17th 2012 Every event in our lives is a stepping stone on our journey through life and an opportunity for our own personal growth. I recently had the honour of meeting three of the staff from the Equestrian Federation of Singapore who were here for the Holistequine EALC training intensive. For me it was a week of realisations, insights and sowing the seeds for new beginnings for Holistequine....

The joy of horses in life coaching
12 November 2011
The difference between Holistequine Equine Assisted Life Coaching and Equine Assisted Therapy
Quite simply the main difference is that Holistequine is a method that focuses on a client’s potential whereas “Therapy” infers a healing or treatment of a “problem”. Holistequine works with a vibrational model of the “whole person” to correct imbalances in the energy field, imbalances to our higher centres which can ultimately cause emotional problems, negative thinking and even poor health.
In “therapy” and in life generally our energy (or our ability to experience events) is judged and broken down into good/bad, positive/negative. While working with our life coaching horses to develop our Whole Body Intelligence system we have been shown how to maximise our entire energy field to get a result, in other words the Holistequine model takes full advantage of a client’s “whole” energy to achieve goals. In claiming our entire force field our full potential is then used, not broken down and dissipated.

9th November 2011
Gaining an understanding of this event through my pony Ruby The 11-11-11 event represents the Harmonic Unification of Gaia Day and is the trilogy to the Harmonic Convergence (1987) and the Harmonic Concordance of 2003 and provides the energy for us all to “accelerate and embrace our Divine Co-creative powers”…………….or, in other words to “walk our talk” The Universe provides clues to guide us through life…………..these “clues” come as symbols and important dates, special portals in time which hold the energy to change our evolutionary blueprint. As we begin to understand the symbols and mirrors that help us navigate life we see that if we gain knowledge of “who we are” as spiritual beings then our journey becomes clear

3 Types of Relationships
Relationships come in all shapes and sizes and take many different forms in our lives. Relationships with partners, family, friends, workmates, when positive all contribute to our emotional and mental wellbeing, even the relationship we have with our pets can play an important role in making us feel better about ourselves.
All relationships require us to interact with another; therefore it does not matter weather we choose a relationship consciously or are thrown into one by chance we must remember to set an intention of how we want that relationship to work. We need to look at all relationships differently and see them as an opportunity to learn about ourselves and grow personally. If we do this we can then begin to see “relationships” from a changed perspective......

October 22nd Introduction to EALC workshop
It never ceases to amaze me the gift that comes from every session with my horses. When we go into an EALC session or workshop although we work with an established system of exercises and philosophies we usually have no idea beforehand which horse, horses or ponies are going to step up on the day.........

The “Science” of Horses
I must admit that I always enjoyed and identified with the intellectual part of study. During my training Biochemistry was my favourite subject and I see now looking back that this was because I always felt “safe” with science. Science means the “study of the physical and natural world” so no wonder the left brain always felt at home. However over the years of observing my horses I began to realise that they operated from another “consciousness”. I noticed that when they were in need of healing they “knew” and would instinctively source the herbs and plants I had spent years “studying” As I began to observe the “Natural world” of the horse I saw how, unlike us they primarily relied on their instincts/intuition......and that for us humans in our need for things to be validated through science we had lost our way

How horses can help us “ground” the 2012 energy September 2011
While the 2012 phenomenon is symbolic of the completion of many great astrological cycles (including the Mayan long count calendar) it also presents us with an opportunity to change our lives on a practical level. The 2012 astrological “alignment” is a portal in time where the energy is right for humans to reach full consciousness. We claim this full potential when we use the information coming through our left and right brain simultaneously, when we live our lives in harmony by making choices from our head and our heart equally, a time when we go from being ego centric to cosmic centric.......the great news is that our animals have a head start here and can show us the way.......

An Holistic approach to Hendra
July 30th 2011
To understand the nature of new emerging viruses such as Hendra we need to expand our thinking and see the Earth as a living organism and, like any ecosystem the Earth needs to find a balance within its species, human, animal and micro organisms alike............to find a symbiosis. Nothing in Nature is separate and while viruses, bacteria and all microorganisms can be inconvenient at best and deadly at worst they have their place in the bigger scheme of things. Holistic philosophies practice a whole “approach” to disease and do not see viruses as “good or bad” but attempt to work with a whole picture however because doctors and scientists do not follow a similar holistic approach (that all disease has its causative roots in a body mind and spirit) they mainly focus on the “disease” model, that viruses are “bad” and are to "blame" for disease

Meeting the Challenges of Our Changing World "2012” and beyond
July 25th 2011
There is a lot of speculation, fear and confusion around the significance of the 2012 date. From biblical prophesies of some sort of judgement day, to movies predicting catastrophes of “the end of the world” it seems everyone is curious about what lies ahead.
Unlike the Gregorian Calender the Mayan Long Count Calendar is more than an events calendar, it represented cycles of Spiritual Growth. The reference to “end time” which is also referred to in many ancient texts and myths does not mean the end of time or any destruction of the planet…………….. Nonetheless, the changes in energy coming onto the planet will signify the end of “time” as we know it.

Conscious awareness through the horse
May 30th 2011 At last, after years of “working blind” and following a seemingly endless intuitive path with horses in personal development we have had a break through. Holistequine life coaching work involves “maximizing human potential through the spirit of the horse “and now, with this new understanding of how it all connects, it has eventually come full circle. It is time to align our consciousness; for the head and the heart, Heaven and Earth and the left and right brain to synchronize as ONE

Horses and Human Emotional Intelligence
March 2011
According to recent research it has been estimated that a person's Emotional Intelligence Quotient (E.Q.) accounts for 80% * of success in the workplace. The horses at Holistequine are tackling this problem with a technique (Whole Body Intelligence System) to integrate the left (logical) and right (creative) brain into the human energy system. The right brain holds the key to our non verbal communication skills and our emotional intelligence. It is the same size as our left brain but, unfortunately is not used in proportion.

Future Leaders Program How horses can teach children the Life Skills they need to fill the gap between the schoolyard and the workplace
Febuary 2011
We believe that if a child spends too much time in the left logical side of the brain (school work, computers TV etc) without a balance of time spent in the right creative side then the child does not have the opportunity to develop their emotional intellect, the child becomes overstimulated which may cause a build up of energy leading to negative behaviour.
The right side of our brain is the same size as our left side but we do not use it in the same proportion We believe that both children and adults have a need to develop and express this creative side and there is much research currently being done on the integration of left and right hemispheres of the brain and how it relates to healthy emotional intelligence

Claiming the Potential of the Feminine
January 2011
As we move further into the energy of the new millennium and the year’s “2” of our evolutionary journey it means that we will need to have more of a balance of the polarities or dualities within. Of special relevance here is our relationship with gender and the polarities of masculine /feminine, the relationship we have both internally and externally. With the arrival of the Age of Aquarius we have completed a long cycle of human spiritual development, and we now see the beginning of the influence of another incoming energy

The difference between Equine Assisted Therapy and Equine Assisted Life Coaching
January 2011
It was many years ago when we first started to develop the Holistequine technique of interactive horse exercises for personal growth and at the time there were only a handful of people in America doing similar work. They called themselves Equine Facilitated Psychotherapists.........this original version involved a horse expert who would then work with their client and a psychotherapist. Over the years many different variations and interpretations of “horse therapy” developed as the concept of working with horses in this manner became more widely practiced and accepted and there are now thousands of people doing similar work with horses mainly under the banner of Equine Assisted Therapy.

The wisdom of the horse ................. a reflection of "living in the moment"
January 2010
...In my horse I see a mirror of myself, I see a mirror not only of my human insecurities but I also see a mirror of my potential strengths……we are one and I cannot separate him from me.
When I find the courage to acknowledging this Oneness I can then change my insecurities into strengths. However to do this and to become "empowered" I must first obtain my horse's level of consciousness... for empowerment is obtained by a belief in one's self... a belief in one’s Spirit that is reflected through the horse...

Changing to riding bitless
January 2010
Riding bitless means that the relationship you have with your horse will change forever as it will give you a sense of achievement and the knowledge that you are making a deeper connection with your horse.
Bitless riding changes the balance of power between horse and rider in as much as you have replaced control through the bit with “control” through an inner power base, demonstrating trust, respect and heightened awareness. It is also the first step in forming a relationship with your horse for anyone wanting a career as a Holistequine Equine Assisted Therapy Practitioner

A Prophesy of change
To think with our hearts and love with our minds
Our prayers are being answered. By our praying "thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven" we, like all other religions (in their purest form) are requesting a path to connected consciousness. Humanity is experiencing the effects of this incoming (heaven) energy with a new sensitivity and awareness of our heart chakras opening. Because of these changes our "feelings" and emotions are being exposed and therefore they need to be expressed like never before..... we are evolving into a new (age) or world that is more sensitive and perceptive. The prophesized "end times", mean a new era of "no-time" whereby we will need to learn to trust to exist in the moment.

Holistequine Holistic Horsemanship - Riding with one heart and one mind
Horse Report, June 2007
Owning a horse offers an amazing opportunity for developing personal potential, and by exploring this path we allow for growth and a magical union between horse and rider. The belief is that if one works to improve oneself it will flow onto the horse and have a positive effect on that horse's demeanour and mindset. A horse must be "conscious" at all times; this has meant survival for him. The horse regards a rider's lack of consciousness as dangerous.

Animal Mirrors
Quantum Knowledge, March 2004
When we look at life as a whole we see that every living thing is made up of Energy. Animals, like humans are just another expression of that Energy reflecting back to us qualities that we need to integrate into our lives (ie. unconditional love, loyalty, and trust). We often project onto our pets the love we cannot give to ourselves.

Empowerment and the concept of "Oneness
Holistequine is Equine Assisted Personal Development - Holistequine is the name we have given to this new form of equine assisted therapy, whereby the horse acts as a catalyst for healing, personal growth, spirituality and physical fitness. By reading our energy field the horse becomes a clear channel to give us feedback on our shortcomings and human failings. We cannot fool him.
He then takes us on a journey to claim our full potential.

Saddle Up for Self- Esteem

Holistequine Equine Assisted Therapy
Children and Adult Programs
In our experience many of the problems within families and society today are caused by low self-esteem.
Sounds too simple to be true?
Think about it!
When we don’t feel good about ourselves, or can’t express ourselves we either get angry and dump on others or seethe inwardly. It can play out as bullying ADHD, relationship breakdown etc. or, our energy field is low and we become victims, creating problems such as obesity, financial insecurity and addictions. We have a self worth crisis. In other words low self esteem has a negative effect on our whole energy field and our health

The Well-Being Manifesto
Sunday Mail, July 2005 (article not written by us)
Many Australians feel that the political system has let them down, and that governments are not responding to their real concerns. We seem to have lost sight of a vision for a better society and to have entrusted our future to wherever the market takes us.
This website presents a new manifesto, one that takes as its starting point the belief that governments in Australia should be devoted to improving our individual and social wellbeing.
